Art has always been an integral part of my life and a favourite form of expression. For me, it is an interpretation of the language of the soul, of how the world is perceived from within. The vivid colours of nature and the art and architecture of India provide a constant source of inspiration.

Having no formal education in the subject, I educated myself and experimented with various forms of art. Acrylics, oil painting, decoupage, fluid art, resin, cement art and pyrography are some of the artforms that I indulge in.

With the knowledge and experience gathered, I got inspired to explore and create my very own range of home-decor products and gift items. My wide range of tables, time-pieces and T-light holders are hugely successful! My fascination for wood and wooden furniture also paved the way for many creative projects.

This gave birth to AnjumsArt! A brand conceived with an intent to blend art with home decor. It now delivers customised, innovative, premium and carefully hand-crafted art into the homes of people.

Life has come full circle, and I am back to creating visual stories on blank canvases. Each canvas has contributed towards a growth in ideas, technique and form. Today, I enjoy working with abstracts, textures and layers to create compositions, which with its unique combination, creates a mood of its own.

As nature always stirs my imagination, you will find, the colours of the earth like yellow ochre, vermilion, indian red, aqua green and browns always finding a place on my palette.
