My name is Arti Chopra and I am a 67-year-old housewife. Painting has been a favorite hobby of mine since my college days but has taken it up seriously only for the last 3- 4 years. My favorite medium is acrylics though I do dabble in watercolors too. Anything to do with nature is the preferred topic of my paintings and painting flowers and still-life is my main love. The vibrancy of a still life painting with flowers adds beauty and calmness to the decor of any room. Of late I am doing knife painting in acrylics which produces a lot of depth in the painting.

Besides art, I write poetry and am very fond of cooking. Have also written a book on my life in the Airforce, seen through a fighter pilot's wife's eyes.

This book came about mainly as I was pained to see the lack of knowledge about life in the armed forces in Civil circles.
